Wildlife Escape Ramps Available!

Approximately 200 ramps (100 of each type) are being provided free of charge to Crook County cooperators for installation in their existing watering facilities on private or state owned land.  Installation costs (hardware and labor) are the cooperators contributions to the project.  CCNRD and NRCS plan to provide a maximum of 3 ramps per type per cooperator.

These ramps will help prevent birds and other wildlife from drowning in stock water tanks.   Two types of ramps will be available- fiberglass and expanded metal.

Stock Water Wildlife Escape Ramps are NOW available to cooperators in Crook County due to the dedication and coordination of Lisa Shaw with the Niobrara Conservation District and the following groups who provide funding (Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resources Trust, Wyoming Private Grazing Lands Team, local Sage Grouse Working Groups, Water for Wildlife) .
